1.About the Company
Lanzhou Taibang Chemical Technology Co., Ltd. was established in January 2019, and formally merged and acquired to join Continental Hope Group Energy & Chemical Division on 16th June 2023 , which is located at No. 651, Qiyunshan Road, Lanzhou New Chemical Park, Lanzhou, Gansu Province, and has more than 300 employees.
Adhering to the concept of circular economy and clean production, the company is a technology-based chemical enterprise dedicated to the efficient development and comprehensive utilisation of salt resources. The company has a technical research and development team led by Academician Wang Shuangfei of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, whose R&D achievements in the industry have won the Second Prize of National Technical Invention in 2019, which is the highest award in the industry, and holds 6 national invention patents and utility model related to the production and manufacture of sodium chlorate, potassium perchlorate, hydrogen peroxide, and so on. It owns "Taibang Chemical" company-level commercial brand, "Jincheng" sodium chlorate and potassium perchlorate product brand, and "Wanchuan" hydrogen peroxide product brand.
The joint production line of "sodium chlorate-potassium perchlorate-hydrogen peroxide" is planned and constructed to cover the production of the three products mentioned above at the same time, fully realising the comprehensive utilisation of the by-products and forming a production unit with a complete product chain; the whole plant adopts the "Fire Prevention Code for the Design of Petrochemical Enterprises" to carry out the design and construction of the plant in a high-standard manner.
The production process is advanced and mature, with a high degree of automation and tight safety chain, and adopts DCS for the whole production control. In terms of core devices and key technologies, it is at the first-class level in China, adopting advanced evaporation technology to recover and reuse the by-product brine in the production of potassium perchlorate, realizing zero wastewater discharge in the joint production of sodium chlorate-potassium perchlorate, and completely solving the problem of wastesalt discharge that has been troubling the industry for many years; adopting the all-acidic working liquid system for the production of hydrogen peroxide, avoiding the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide under alkaline conditions, greatly improving the safety of the production system.
The construction of the "annual output of 50,000 tonnes of potassium perchlorate and 250,000 tonnes of hydrogen peroxide salt resources comprehensive utilisation" project is the key project signed in Lanzhou Commercial Fair. So far, the 1st phase of the project has been completed and put into production, and the 2nd phase of the project has entered the planning and construction stage.
2.Production scale and product introduction
Sodium chlorate
Designed with an annual output of 60,000 tonnes, it is mainly used in the manufacture of chlorine dioxide, sodium chlorite and perchlorate, chlorate, used as herbicide, oxidant and in the printing and dyeing, metallurgy, paper making and leather industries.
Potassium perchlorate
Designed for an annual output of 50,000 tonnes, it is widely used in the production of fireworks, national defence science and technology, pharmaceuticals and other industries.
Hydrogen peroxide
The designed capacity of the first phase is 150,000 tonnes/year, which is mainly used in the fields of textile, papermaking, chemical industry, light industry, medicine, electronics, food, environmental protection, military industry and so on.
