Mao County Electric Power Co. formerly known as the Mao County Power Company, was founded in 1982, when the power supply only covers one-fifth of the county's administrative area, in 1992, Mao County, Nanxin Power Plant was built to generate electricity, in November 1997, the Mao County Electric Power Company merged with the Mao County, Nanxin Power Plant to form the Mao County Electric Power Co. In 1999, the company transformed the agricultural network of the county's administrative area, and in April 2004, it was acquired by Hope Deepblue Power Co., Ltd. (Sichuan Hope Deepblue Energy & Chemical Co., Ltd.), a subsidiary of the Continental Hope Group.

Company registered address: Qiangxing Street, Fengyi Town, Mao County, with a registered capital of 37.49 million yuan. The main business is the production and sale of water conservancy and electricity, the development, production and sale of electric power equipment, electric power technology service, power station, power grid project investment, management and service.

The company directly owns two power stations, namely: Nanxin Power Station, Nanxin Baishui Level 3 Station, with installed capacity of 10600KW, feed-in power of 0.25 billion KWH. There are 11 35KV substations with total substation capacity of 78,450KVA and 47 small hydropower stations on the grid, with capacity of 104,265KW. The supply area covers more than 10 townships and more than 140 administrative villages in Mao County, with 1512 power supply units, a total capacity of 282580KVA, and 1280 kilometres of high and low voltage lines of 10KV and below.

The company has achieved many honours in recent years, including "Advanced Enterprise" in Mao County, "Big Taxpayer" in Mao County, "Provincial Credit Grade AAA Enterprise" and "County Best Civilized Unit".
