Diexi--Songping Valley scenic area in Mao County is the fourth batch of provincial scenic spots approved by Sichuan Provincial People's Government in December 1994, passed the national AAAA level scenic spot inspection and acceptance in June 2013; passed the ecotourism demonstration area in Sichuan Province in December 2018, and the scenic spot construction project has a general planning area of 157 km2. Scenic area is located in Aba Prefecture, Sichuan Province, 65 kilometres from the county seat of Mao County, at an altitude of more than 2,500 metres above. The scenic area is known for its natural scenery and rich  resources; there are "three valleys, nine lakess and fourteen scenes". The main attractions are Diexi sea, Baila sea, Wucai Pond, White Stone Sea, Ink Sea, Changhai, Pearl Beach waterfalls and other natural landscapes. Songping Valley scenic area is characterized by its grandeur, beauty, variation, exoticness, and tranquility.
